Organized Noize and the Importance of Community
I'm watching an awesome documentary on Organized Noize. First, I'm loving how country damn near everybody is in this entire documentary. It's like being home. Second, Andre and Big Boi look like children in the old clips. It's crazy to remember how young these guys were when they were first starting.
However, their discussion about the early days in "The Dungeon" strikes me because they talk about writing together. They say that they knew they were going to make it. They didn't know when, but they knew it would happen because they believed in one another. The take home message for me is the importance of community. They supported and encouraged one another, they cheered one another, and they collaborated with one another. It's hard to go it alone, and they're clear that they wouldn't have had the success they achieved without one another.
